The Citizenship by Investment jurisdiction of choice

    EditorBy EditorJuly 9, 2026No Comments2 Mins Read

Twenty years ago, many of the people discovering Antigua & Barbuda came for a holiday. Today, plenty still do. Increasingly, however, they return with different questions: which areas do they like best? What are the schools like? How easy is it to get here from New York, London or Toronto? Could they spend several months a year on the islands? Might this be somewhere their children and grandchildren would enjoy for years to come?

Citizenship by investment is no longer viewed simply as a transaction. People are looking beyond rankings and visa-free access and paying closer attention to the country itself. They want confidence in its reputation, its stability and its future. They want to know what daily life looks like and whether it is somewhere they genuinely want to spend time.

Antigua & Barbuda has spent decades building that appeal. The wonderful beaches, translucent waters and spectacular scenery may catch the eye first, but they are only part of the picture. Investors today are also drawn by political stability, a mature and respected citizenship programme, a cosmopolitan lifestyle and a wave of high-quality development. From luxury beachfront residences and branded resort communities to major infrastructure improvements and expanding tourism investment, Antigua & Barbuda is offering more opportunities than ever before to live, invest and spend time in the country. Perhaps that is why Antigua & Barbuda occupies a distinctive place in the investment migration industry. For many, the attraction extends far beyond mobility and a Plan B in times of uncertainty. It is equally about family, opportunity, wellbeing and the reassurance of knowing that the country behind the passport is every bit as attractive as the benefits it provides.
