Following a decade-long restoration project, Government House has reopened to the public with the launch of a new museum dedicated to the history of Antigua & Barbuda. The project has transformed one of the nation’s most important historic buildings into a heritage attraction while preserving its role as the official residence of the Governor General.
The museum traces the country’s development from the colonial era through emancipation and independence to the present day, and forms part of wider efforts to preserve and showcase Antigua & Barbuda’s cultural heritage.
