The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission has launched a Music Production and Artist Development Department to help local musicians develop their work and build careers. Its plans include vocal coaching, songwriting and performance training, production support and opportunities to work with established Caribbean artistes and producers.
Chairperson Elizabeth Makhoul has also announced plans for a professional recording facility. The department is part of a push to give Antiguan and Barbudan music a stronger presence at home and across the region.
